About Me
Justin Giambruno, LCSW, Doctoral Candidate

Hi, I'm Justin Giambruno, I'm here to support you on your journey toward healing and personal growth. With over a decade of experience in therapy, I specialize in working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, providing a compassionate, culturally informed approach. My practice is rooted in understanding, empathy, and collaboration.
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Binghamton University, then earned my Master's in Social Work from the University at Albany. Currently, I'm a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) candidate at the State University of Buffalo. I also integrate meditation and mindfulness into my work to help clients build resilience.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process, grounded in humanistic and person-centered therapy. I have specialized training in psychodynamic, family systems, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring sessions to meet client needs and goals.
Throughout my career, I've worked in diverse settings, including the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center, Parsons Child and Family Center, Northern Rivers, and Eastern Door Counseling Center, providing inclusive, client-centered care.
I offer therapy for individuals, couples, and families, focusing on anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, life transitions, and more. My approach is warm, client-centered, and grounded in the belief that each person's experience is unique.
If you’re interested in working together, please reach out at (838) 207-9742, or info@openheartsandminds.com for a consultation. I’d be honored to help you take the next step toward healing and growth.

Our Approach:

We believe that therapy is a collaborative journey, and we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and understood. Our approach combines evidence-based practices with flexibility, so each session is tailored to your unique needs, goals, and life experiences.
Drawing on techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed care, and relational approaches, we work to help clients navigate challenges, develop coping strategies, and build lasting resilience. We focus not only on addressing immediate concerns but also on empowering you with the insight and tools to manage future challenges and foster personal growth.
We recognize that each individual’s journey is different, and we honor your strengths, values, and lived experiences throughout our work together. Our hope is to guide clients toward meaningful change, self-discovery, and a stronger sense of well-being, all within a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
